JAWAHARLAL NEHRU UNIVERSITY ADMISSION THROUGH ENTRANCE EXAMINATION

•  The University will hold Entrance Examination on May 18, 19, 20 and 21, 2013 for admission to various full-time programmes of study at the following 51 cities:

SCHOOL OF COMPUTER & SYSTEMS SCIENCES:-

•  The School of Computer & Systems Sciences was established way back in 1975. It is one of the best institutions to start teaching and research programmes in the greater areas of computer science.
• The School continues to be at the forefront of offering interdisciplinary courses - a goal in JNU’s charter. The School has the following specialized laboratories where M.Tech./M.Phil., Ph.D. students are actively engaged in research: Artificial Intelligence & Software Engineering, Data Communication and Networks, Microprocessor and Operating , Parallel Processing and Distributed Computing, Systems Software.
• MCA (Master of Computer Applications): Students are admitted to the MCA programme each year on the basis of their performance in the written test conducted by the University.
• This three-year programme is designed to provide necessary theoretical background and practical experience in Computer Science and Applications to meet the growing manpower requirements in automatic computingibility :

Admissions Eligibility -

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with adequate competence in Mathematics under 10+2+3 pattern of education with at least 55% marks

• Foreign Nationals: All foreign nationals present in India are required to appear in the Entrance Examination subject to their fulfilling minimum eligibility requirements as prescribed for Indian students as indicated under Category 'A' above. However, in the event of their selection, they will be considered for admission subject to equivalence of their degrees as per eligibility requirements.
