GATE Result 2014 | Expected Date

GATE is conducted by the 7 Indian Institutes of Technology of Delhi, Bombay, Kanpur, Guwahati, Roorkee, Madras and Kharagpur as well as the Indian Institute of Science Bangalore (IISc Bangalore). GATE exam scores are also used to offer placements by few Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs).

Students can expect to have their Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE ) 2014 results in their hands on March 28, 2014. GATE examination will be held in two separate sessions - from 9 am to 12 pm and from 2 pm to 5 pm - on alternate weekends. However, some of the tests will be conducted during multiple sessions.

This year the GATE question paper is expected to have a few changes in comparison to the question paper pattern followed previously. The exam now includes a new paper titled "Ecology and Evolution". The exam will be a Computer Based Test (CBT). It will have two types of questions, namely numerical answer type questions and multiple choice questions (MCQs). GATE not only asses the technical ability of the candidates, but also asses their linguistic and mathematical ability.

GATE is an all-India entrance exam and scholarship test which is conducted to screen aspirants for admission into Masters of Technology (M Tech) courses in the Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), IITs, the National Institute of Technology (NITs) as well as other engineering institutes in India.
